About Joshua
I believe that everyone has the innate capacity to heal, grow, and discover meaning in their lives. My role as a therapist is not to lead, but to walk alongside you as a fellow traveler—honored to share in part of your journey. Everyone has their own path towards becoming who they will be and so I in turn do not believe in any one right way to navigate the counseling experience.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in existential theory, and I draw from Jungian depth psychology, symbolism, dream work, and meaning-making. I often utilize mindfulness activities to ground my clients within themselves in the here and now as well as to help explore their depths and understand their inner experience. Our society is often so fast paced and we often don't notice the quiet wisdom we each carry.
As your therapist, I will endeavor to encourage you to search through your own depths to find your own individual meaning that will guide you to root in and grow through life's hurdles, choices, celebrations, and hardships in your own individual way. Ultimately, I trust that you are the true expert regarding your own life and healing process. Together, we will explore your experience at a pace that feels right for you.
